K.malu Kitchen & Bar

Chic, moody and effortlessly cool, K.malu Kitchen & Bar brings a Modern European flair to the heart of Wollongong’s dining scene. This is where share plates shine and flavour take centre stage – perfect for everything from date nights to long-overdue catchups with friends. The menu isn’t tied to any one cuisine; instead, it’s a seasonal showcase of creative dishes inspired by European ingredients and bold, boundary-pushing ideas.

For those who believe that more is more, K.malu offers not one but two ‘feed me’ experiences.

The $67 per person option includes standout bites like the ricotta and anchovy donut (yes, really) and house-made gnocchi that practically melts in your mouth. Feeling extra? Go for the $80 feast and level up with crispy polenta perfection and a juicy pork cutlet that’s anything but ordinary. Pair it all with something from their extensive wine list or experimental cocktail bar, and you’ve got yourself a seriously memorable night out.

BASTA Trattoria

Tucked inside the stylish Hotel TOTTO in Wollongong’s CBD, BASTA Trattoria serves up big flavours with effortless charm. Inspired by the Mediterranean and rooted in Italian tradition, this buzzing spot is all about good vibes, great wine, and food that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Their $75 per person ‘Feed Me’ menu is a full-on flavour journey – think silky kingfish crudo, rich mezze rigate, a golden-crusted pork cotoletta, and to finish, a tiramisu so good it deserves its own round of applause. This is banquet-style dining with flair, perfect for when you want to kick back, soak up the atmosphere, and let the kitchen do its thing. Pro tip: come hungry. You will want seconds.

ilu ilu

Vibrant, fun and full of flavour, ilu ilu is Wollongong’s Indian-inspired cocktail and tapas bar that’s made for sharing – both the dishes and the good times. The menu takes its cues from Indian street food and regional favourites, serving up small plates that are bold, punchy, and seriously addictive. Everything’s designed to be mixed, matched and passed around, making it the perfect spot for a communal feast.

Their $60 ‘Feed Me’ tasting menu is a flavour-packed journey through some of their most beloved dishes – think chickpea peanut masala, aaloo chaat, lamb champaran and plenty more that’ll keep your tastebuds dancing. Ideal for groups, date nights or just your next spicy night out, this is the kind of dining that gets better with every bite. Hungry yet? Thought so.

Kneading Ruby

Tucked down Crown Lane in the heart of Wollongong, Kneading Ruby is where industrial chic meets warm Italian hospitality. Behind its striking brick exterior lies a stylish yet unpretentious space – think soaring ceilings, polished concrete, timber beams and vines cascading from above. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to settle in, sip something red, and stay awhile.

Their ‘Feed Me’ menus are the stuff of legend. For just $50 per person, you’ll score a generous spread featuring fan favourites like the pancetta and goat’s cheese gnocchi, crispy woodfired pizzas, and that garlic bread. (Seriously, if you haven’t tried it yet, you haven’t lived.) Want to take things up a notch? The $65 option adds their silky-smooth tiramisu to the mix – because dessert is always a good idea. Molto bene, indeed.

Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant

With front-row seats to Belmore Basin and the sparkling Wollongong Harbour, Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant delivers big on both views and flavour. It’s a long-time favourite for good reason – serving up fresh, locally sourced produce and sustainably caught seafood for over 30 years. If you’re after a banquet-style experience with a refined twist, this is the spot.

Their Market Menu changes daily based on what’s fresh and in season, but the structure is simple and delicious: choose between a 2-course or 3-course set menu, available at lunch and dinner throughout the week. From Monday to Thursday, you’ll pay $55 for two courses or $65 for three; come Friday to Sunday, it’s $65 and $75 respectively. Think tempura zucchini flowers, perfectly cooked barramundi, and a sticky date pudding that’ll have you scraping the plate. Elegant, satisfying, and oh-so-scenic – this is coastal dining done right.

Whether you’re out to impress, catching up with mates, or just seriously overdue for a good feed, Wollongong’s banquet-style dining scene has you covered – no decisions required.

From sizzling share plates to elegant set menus, these spots are serving up flavour by the forkful and making it way too easy to say, “just feed me”.

So, rally your crew, book a table, and bring your appetite – because in the Gong, the only thing you’ll be hungry for is more!
